LET"S JUST SING
2024
Andrea Szabo
Meet the fearless leader behind the harmonious magic of Sing Sisters! With an illustrious 17-year legacy, she's not just a seasoned singing teacher but also the heart and soul of the group. Spreading joy and laughter where she can.
Carol Posselt
I have been wit the choir for many years at least 8. Coming each week really brings me joy and a sense of belonging. I miss it when I have to miss a session due to family commitments.
Debbie
I have been attending Sing Sisters for 18 months and i enjoy the company and the fun that we have singing together as one .
Lee
I have loved singing since I was a kid and have fond memories of the whole family singing in the car. Sing Sisters has been great for reconnecting me with this love over the past. I love the social side as much as the musical side and have been going for 2 years

For me “Singing is my meditation” I joined Singsisters about 15 years ago when there were sometimes only 5 of us or up to 12 on any given evening. We’d sing in Andrea’s lounge room for an hour then sit around her dining table to have a cup of tea and a chat … actually more laughter than talking - did you know Andrea has been a comedian in her past?!
I tell people I love being part of Singsisters and when people say “oh, I couldn’t belong to your choir, I can’t sing”, I use Andrea’s motto “If you can talk, you can sing … just some people sing better than others”! No one judges and everyone sings for the enjoyment here. I went through my entire pregnancy with the Singsisters and continued singing every evening at bedtime to my son til he told me “Thank you, but I think you can stop now Mum” @ the age of 8! His favourite songs were “Blue Moon” (the Ella Fitzgerald 1956 version) and “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith. My son now wants to be a professional musician … Andrea and say 'we will take some of the credit for his love of music! '
Donna
I’m Donna. A lover of walking barefoot on the grass, spending time with my friends & fam and putting a smile on anyone’s face I can. I raised orphan goats and lambs for many years. I have been with Sing Sisters for a few years now. A highlight for me was preforming in a huge choir backing Glen Shorrock for “Men’s Mental Health “Our Song was Hang on Help is on it’s way. I really enjoy the weekly Saturday afternoon sessions – we create, have fun & sing. It really is a sisterhood like no other
Jane
I am originally from UK and have been living in Australia for over 30 years. My Mum and my sister both sing, Mum in a choral society and my sister sings in a folk group, both in UK. I am Newly retired and after losing my Mum recently, I decided it was about time I joined a choir. I hope I do her proud. I like to think I am a happy person, and I love a good laugh.
Tania
I'm a nut for a song and here I get to totally be myself.
Great group and a fun experience
Angela
I may be a professional in my everyday, but when I am at Sing SIsters I can explore myself and my creativity. I never knew I had it in me!
Stephanie
Hi I'm a happy go lucky lady enjoying retirement.
Love singing, travel, world history and touring this beautiful country.
Yolanda
Happiness, fun and the excitement of learning to sing with ease are some of the words that describe my experience when we come together to sing. Our talented teacher Andrea brings the best out in each of us. Her enthusiasm and encouragement makes for a lovely environment to have a go.
Jane
I have been with sing sisters since 2017 and have loved every minute of it. I love gardening, animals, water and nature, just to mention a few.
Linsey
I'm originally from Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The entirety of my formative years was saturated with music. Playing piano for the church choir, then my high school choir, plus playing live for friends who sang well. I was also involved in my high school's marching band. Music was a solace during difficult times as a teen. More recently, I've had difficult health battles, and joining Sing Sisters this year has become a big part of my recovery and healing. Learning to use my voice again while letting the music and the fellowship with other women who also understand life struggles soothe my wounds has been a massive bright light in an otherwise dark time in my life.
Michelle L
Been going for years but this last term was so fun, who would have thought my words are now part of our Anthem.

This space for singing lets me open up and let it out
Jennifer
I am relatively new to the Gold Coast, not long retired and finding it difficult to meet like minded people and make new friends. I am definitely no great shakes as a singer but I enjoy the feeling of singing. So am looking forward to forging friendships with this lovely group of ladies and enjoying harmonies and singing.
Tash
Love love love it!
Sally
Sally has been coming to Sing Sisters on an off for years. It's great she can join us for a term when her lifestyle open up space. When she returns, it's like she never left, as she fits us like a glove
Scarlet
Hi, I'm Scarlet, I have been singing on and off, due to covid restrictions, with Andrea since 2018. Just love this Lady, she has taught me a lot considering I hadn't really done any group singing before, just singing in the shower and around the home. I do feel I have improved since being under her guidance with our amazing Sing Sisters. I have also made some great friendships too. 🥰💖 our Sing Sisters.
Kym
Been going for years and years even moving to Brisbane didn't really stop me. Made friends, get so sing, even been a soloist once or twice. Go me! lol
Anne D
I have been with Sing Sisters on and off for 4 years.
I love the camaraderie, support and flexibility. Andrea and the group are professional, but also casual and lots of fun.
It has provided me with a platform to find my singing voice with wonderful direction and encouraging, respectful ladies.
I come from a musical Irish family, but alas I rarely used my voice outside the house in years.
I find singing both fun and therapeutic. Plus learning the song words and tunes are good for my brain. 🙂
My other love (apart from my wonderful husband) is travelling and have been lucky enough to do lots in a campervan the last two years. And this year went to Europe, including to my other home Ireland.
Thanks Andrea & Sing Sisters. X
Sandra
I’ve been with Sing Sisters for a few years now and I really miss it when I have to skip a term for any reason. Andrea is a great leader and tons of fun.
Leanne
I love yoga, walking, cooking and singing.
I live on the Tweed Coast where I run a very busy cafe with my husband. Being a sing sister gives me joy, we laugh, have fun and get serious.
Andrea is an amazing and warm leader
Conny
Conny has been a bit of a jack of all trades around Sing Sisters, helping out here and there and taking photos. She has used her recording studio to record one of the groups. She's been a musician, artist and a school teacher and is now pursuing a lifetime dream of recording and producing music.
